"This image appears to be over-filtered/over-processed which has affected the image quality. This may include Photoshop filters & effects (over-sharpening, excessive adjustments to levels, curves, contrast, hues, gaussian blurs, saturation, added textures, noise reduction...) or other manipulations. We feel the image would have more value to designers with minimal or no post processing effects so that the designers could add their own post-processing effects." http://www.rogerburton.co.uk/stills/free_range_eggs_RB.jpg Many thanks - Roger (Edited on 2012-04-17 02:15:49 by kelvinjay) |

![]() Postado Tue Apr 17, 2012 2:05AM | For example the stamp is sharp where eggs are blured. |
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Postado Tue Apr 17, 2012 2:18AM | Agreed. The effect is a nice idea, but not very convincing. If you decide to have another go, I'd consider trying to make it a little bit darker and more prominent too. I'd also cut down on the white space surrounding it. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Postado Tue Apr 17, 2012 2:42AM | Thanks chaps, I'll try and get the effect to look better (or maybe I'll devise a way of physically 'stamping' the eggs). Really good of you all to take the time. Best Regards - Roger |

As an alternate composition, I'd consider a much tighter shot, filling the frame with the egg or eggs, this would show the stamp clearly in the thumbnail. I'd definitely look at getting a kids printing kit too to make a real stamp on the eggs. |

![]() ![]() Postado Thu Apr 19, 2012 8:41PM | Great idea. I'd make the stamp in a darker color so it jumps off the egg. Maybe a nice foliage green or organic green if there is such a thing. |
